What’s going on in Downtown Redding? DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle)

Meet DASH, the Downtown Area Shuttle, a fast, free, reliable service that will be coming to Downtown Redding. This partnership between The McConnell Foundation, City of Redding, Redding Police Department (RPD) and Redding Electric Utility (REU), with support from other Downtown organizations, will create easier flow through Downtown during ongoing construction. DASH services will transport those who live, work and play in Downtown Redding from outlying parking lots to the heart and center of the Downtown region.

“The DASH shuttle should be a great new addition to Downtown,” says John Truitt, Viva Downtown Director. “It’s good to see the city responding in new and positive ways to help people navigate the changes happening in Downtown Redding.”

The shuttles will run on two distinct loops, each circling their routes every eight to ten minutes to pick up passengers at the designated shuttle stops. The shuttle is tentatively scheduled to run during peak hours Monday through Friday:  6:45am – 8:45am, 10:30am – 1:30am and 3:30pm – 5:30pm.  This allows stress-free transportation for those wanting to enjoy the shops, restaurants and attractions in Downtown Redding.
