Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council in collaboration with Shasta Strengthening Families is hosting the first Parent Café on Tuesday, December 2nd from 9 am to 12 pm at Northern Valley Catholic Social Services – 2400 Washington Ave, Redding, CA 96001.
All Shasta County parents and primary caregivers of young children are invited. The purpose of the Parent Cafés is to make connections between parents and to explore issues parents face in raising healthy, happy kids in Shasta County utilizing protective factors. The first Parent Café topic will be Taking Care of Yourself.
This free event is made possible by The Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council with funding by the Health Happens Here grant from The California Endowment, as well as the Shasta Strengthening Families Collaborative.
“At the Parent Café, we will share information and ideas that help us take care of ourselves, raise strong children and strengthen families,” said Julie DePrada, project coordinator for Health Happens Here. “We would love for anyone in the community to join us and make new connections.”
The Parent Café is a free community event. We will provide childcare and lunch, so please RSVP to make sure we have enough food and staff on hand. Please RSVP to Crystal at 530-242-2020 or [email protected]
